Bringing the Vision to Life: Summer Construction Updates
The countdown is officially on. With the Certificate of Occupancy anticipated by the end of July and the Grand Opening scheduled for late August, the new pet resource center is entering its final stages. What began as a vision is now becoming a fully realized, purpose-built space designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for pets and the community that cares for them. From the layout of each room to the carefully selected finishes, every detail reflects a commitment to the comfort and well-being of the pets who will spend time at the center.

Progress in Motion: The front entrance is taking shape as the final stages of construction are underway! The site has been busy with hard hat tours, showing those in the community all the work that’s being done now, so pets and families can stay together forever. A view of the medical suite from the onsite lab and pharmacy. This space will allow for simple blood work and testing to be run immediately, rather than having to send it out. Soon, this space will be transformed into the small animal room. Filled with quiet pods, the temporary home for the cutest little critters! Designed for first hellos and new beginnings–the meet-and-greet rooms are almost ready! The clinic lobby is nearly complete—designed with comfort in mind for both pets and their people. Bright, welcoming, and functional, this space will soon be the first stop on the journey to wellness and care. The surgical suite is designed to provide safe, high-quality care for every pet who needs it. In the cat adoption area, floors are being prepped for epoxy—a durable, easy-to-clean surface that’s also gentle on sensitive paws and helps prevent slipping. Just beyond, the catios are nearing completion, offering future feline residents a safe way to enjoy sunshine. Fresh air, wagging tails, and room to roam–the walking trails are nearly ready for adventure Look up in the dog kennels and you’ll see natural light streaming in through bright skylights! In the cat spaces and offices, light tubes bring the outdoors in, creating a calm, uplifting environment. Thoughtful lighting throughout the building supports the well-being of both pets and people. These are just a few of the friendly faces who will welcome pets and community members once the center is complete—ready to provide care, support, and a kind smile to all who walk through the doors.
