Every hero has an origin story, and Sir Batman’s began when he arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society. Cloaked in a dashing black-and-white tuxedo, this mysterious figure had clearly been through some challenges. His previous family had run out of options and made the decision to bring him to CHS, where his healing could begin.
At first glance, Sir Batman looked like the suave crime-fighter he was destined to be, but beneath that cape-like coat were injuries, especially to his tail. The medical team quickly discovered that Sir Batman’s wounds were self-inflicted, brought on by stress. And it was going to take more than just medical care to heal this sweet boy. To keep him safe and pain-free, his tail was amputated. And to ensure his stress levels would not spike up again, the behavior team crafted a plan for Sir Batman to keep his mind active with enrichment when needed, and to give him some kind cat cuddler volunteers when it was time for a biscuit break.
Sir Batman is a character through and through, and that’s became more and more clear as he’s progressed on his healing journey. He’s got a flair for drama (as any vigilante should), and a quiet, watchful presence that turns heads. One moment, he’s lounging like a retired billionaire; the next, he’s perched like a bat surveying his city (minus the upside-down part).
Now, this kitty is ready to start fresh in a new Gotham, with loving citizens who understand a cat of his stature. He’s looking for a calm, cozy household with cat-savvy kids over 12 who can appreciate both his sensitive side and his sense of humor.
Sir Batman may not have a utility belt, but he’s got something even better: a huge heart, a big personality, and the ability to make anyone fall in love. Ready to let a little heroism into your life?
