Diamond + 4 Babies
Pit Bull/Female

2 Years/ 60 lbs

Need: 8-10 weeks

Diamond just had 4 babies here in the shelter and needs a foster home for a couple months. She is a very attentive mom and takes good care of her babies. She does not like other dogs and should go to a home where she can be completely separate from other animals. She should go to a home with teens and adults who can respect her space while she cares for the babies. She is friendly with people and enjoys being pet, but should be given space just because she is a new mom.

NMDR Transport Dogs

1-8 years old
Multiple Breeds (see photo for names)

Needs: 2-8 Weeks (depends on dog’s needs)

These dogs will be available for foster in the next week or so.

We were able to help take some dogs from National Mill Dog Rescue and are looking for foster for some of them. Many of them need dental procedures which will be scheduled in the coming months. Because they are a little shy, we would like them to spend some time out of the shelter until they are ready for surgery.
Bailey is the only one on medication at this time to help her adjust, she would love a quiet home. All of the dogs like being around people. Some can go together if you would like to take two: Marlin/Nigel, Sydney/Dory, Becky/Coral.
Most of them can be housed with other dogs, Flo and Jambalaya need to be fostered without other dogs (separately).
Most of them should not go with kids or a loud environment as they have been through a stressful ordeal and are learning to trust people again. They are pretty sweet once they warm up and have cute personalities.

Chloe
Mixed Breed, (49lbs) Female
8 Years

Needs: Until Adopted

Chloe is available for adoption but is much happier in a home. We are hoping to save her some kennel stress and find a foster home for her until we can adopt her out. Although she is 8yrs old, she is very strong and would love to go to an active home. She prefers to be the only animal around and should not go to a home with other pets. She loves to play and run and never says no to treats. She is housebroken!

Ducher
Entlebucher Mountain Dog (66lbs), Male
5 Years Old

Needs: ~1 Month

Crisis Foster

Ducher (Duke) is at CHS for our Crisis Foster program. He’s a little nervous when first meeting new people but loves treats! He would do best with a family with older kids and potentially another dog, we will do an interaction here first.
