Support for the foster program is made possible by a gift from the family in memory of Elizabeth Briggs, a cherished volunteer whose selfless acts of love left a lasting mark on the Connecticut Humane Society. From caring for kittens and cuddling cats to walking and training dogs, serving on the Fur Squad, and assisting in the laundry room, Elizabeth touched countless pets’ lives.

Martedi
2months, 16lbs
Mixed Breed, Male
Needs: until 10/16
This cute puppy will need foster until an event in October. It would be beneficial for him to go to a home with other dogs to become well socialized. He is still learning to walk on a leash and is not housebroken.
CATS

Dolly & 5 Kittens
2yrs, kittens are 6 weeks old
Needs: 2-3Weeks
Dolly is a quiet but sweet mom who needs foster with her babies while they grow. The kittens are super playful and active, they are eating on their own. The kittens are more outgoing than mom, but mom likes to be pet as well. They should not interact with resident pets as they have just recovered from a cold.

Pug
13yrs, DSH, Male
Needs: 4-6 weeks
This sweet, old boy is beginning treatment for hyperthyroid. He will benefit from a foster home while waiting for his next rounds of tests. He is vocal and playful and loves to cuddle. He can get a little excited sometimes and can get a little mouthy, so a home without kids or at least cat savvy kids would be preferred.
