Hi! My name is Betty Spaghetti and I’m 2 years old.

I came to Connecticut all the way from Looo-easy-anna.

My shelter at the time needed to make space for pets displaced during a hurricane, so these nice people at the Bissell Pet Foundation arranged a transport from me and some pals to go all the way up to the Connecticut Humane Society.

When I got there I made sure to show everyone just how much I loved belly rubs and they called me all sorts of things like “good girl” and “silly” and of course “Betty Spaghetti.” (I’m really not sure where that last one came from, but I’m good with it!).

At first loud noises were really scary to me. Then they were just scary. But my nice friends showed me everything was okay, and working with them for as long as I did, I really believe them!

It’s nice knowing so many people have my back. And my belly.

After a while at CHS, a nice family came by to meet me and we had a great time. Suddenly, I was in the backseat of a car and then a home! I thought it was only just for a little while, but there seem to be no plans to go back! I’ll miss my friends at CHS, but now I have a little buddy who plays with me all the time, I get the house all to myself and don’t have to share with any other furry friends, and I know I’m loved.

Thank you for getting me where I belong!

Love, Betty Spaghetti (translated by a staff member)
