The vision is truly becoming a reality. It’s incredibly exciting to witness the transformation unfold. The property at 863 Danbury Road is rapidly evolving into something special. Every detail is coming together beautifully, and it’s clear that this investment will yield something truly remarkable. The structure is rising with purpose and precision, reflecting the dedication and careful planning that have gone into the project from the very beginning.
As you’ll see, the installation of tiles and walls are underway, with each detail adding to the building’s structure and functionality. The windows and doors are beginning to take shape, bringing in natural light and framing the space beautifully. These finishing touches are a key part of bringing the vision to life, and we’re excited to see it all come together.
Here are a few photos to enjoy…
The stunning faux-wood paneling on the front of the building adds a touch of warmth, beautifully blending with the natural surroundings. The clinic lobby will be filled with natural light from large windows, creating a welcoming atmosphere. To the left, two private exam rooms offer a comfortable space for appointments and well-checks. Bathroom wall and floor tiles are in, as well as wall trash cans. Soon, fixtures will be added, making these fully functional spaces. Though currently filled with construction materials, the future community room will feature a kitchenette, AV capabilities, and a side door leading to a small patio. This versatile space will host pet training, community events, and be available for other nonprofits to use as meeting space. This side of the building will serve for foster and Pet Food Pantry pick-up. The faux-wood corner features a private exam room with a separate entrance for sensitive appointments, ensuring privacy and comfort while avoiding the clinic lobby. Dog holding areas in the adoption and medical shelter sections will feature windows, allowing visibility into the rooms. This not only enhances natural light but also helps open up the spaces, creating a more inviting atmosphere. Dog adoption rooms, like this small dog space, will feature windows above the kennels, ensuring plenty of natural light and an open, airy feel. Adoption meeting rooms will create a welcoming space for both pets and prospective families. These rooms offer pets a chance to spend quality one-on-one time with potential adopters before making a decision, ensuring the perfect match for both pet and family. Shelter medicine spaces are designed for openness, allowing smooth movement during medical procedures. In this photo, you can see the treatment bay area and the alcove where lab and RX equipment will be housed, ensuring efficiency and accessibility. The indoor ‘catios’ are spacious, windowed areas where cats will bask in the sun, watch the world go by, and interact with their feline friends, providing a comfortable and enriching environment. Having a dedicated dental area in the medical section is crucial for both efficiency and disease control. Since many pet illnesses start in the mouth, this separate, clean space ensures thorough dental exams, promoting better overall wellness for both clinic and shelter pets. This is the view of the building from the property entrance. The taller entrance on the right leads to adoptions, while the clinic entrance can be seen to the left. Outside doors will be lined with windows allowing for ample natural light, even in hallways. Vibrantly colored tiles will line the walls throughout the facility, aiding in disease control with routine cleaning and frequent hosing. Each color is thoughtfully chosen to represent different areas, such as adoption, medical, and staff/volunteer spaces.
