This kitty cat’s early days are a mystery that may never be revealed. Found as a stray in Mystic late last autumn, Pug made his way to the Connecticut Humane Society with no background, no collar or microchip, and no explanation for why this 11-year-old tuxedo-clad gentleman had been living on his own.
After he’d been dropped off, he made it very clear that he was in charge. Mealtimes were announced with loud meows, followed closely by requests for cuddles. Between zoomies and scarfing down his favorite wet food, Pug perfected the art of lounging in sun beams and climbing into cardboard castles. He enjoyed being picked up and purred like a little motor when he decided you were doing a good job.
After working out his medical and behavioral needs (primarily a dental procedure to give him a purrfect smile, and working through a few stray tomcat quirks), the team decided Pug would do best in a calm home where he could be the only pet and get plenty of attention and one-on-one playtime.
And that’s exactly what he found! Pug’s new family embraced every part of him: the yelling for breakfast, the demands for pats, and the serious business of wand playtime. Today, Pug’s life is filled with cozy naps, uninterrupted attention, and the kind of spoiling that every pet deserves. Thanks for supporting pets like Pug on their journeys from stray to spoiled!
