Laundry basket kitten volunteer

Laundry & Dishes Assistants

The CHS Pet Resource Center in Wilton is looking for reliable volunteers to assist with laundry and dishes at our brand new facility. Volunteers wash and fold pet bedding and clean and disinfect dishes, toys and other pet items utilizing a commercial dishwasher. Volunteers play a vital role in cutting down on the spread of illness by making sure all items are clean and sanitary.  Apply to Volunteer for this position.

Requirements:  18+, have active health insurance, be in good physical condition, able to work independently or with the supervision of a job coach, able to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively communicate with staff, other volunteers and the public.

Commitment: 2 hours per week on a set-schedule for at least 6 months

Germ Busters

The CHS Pet Resource Center in Wilton is looking for reliable volunteers to assist with “germ busting” at our brand new facility. Germ Busters work in the dog kennel to make sure the dogs have clean kennels and bedding and fresh water. Morning volunteers will help with our daily disinfection process which is a great workout! Critter Assistants

Looking for some critter love in your life? The CHS Pet Resource Center in Wilton is looking for experienced small animal owners to help care for the critters (rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, rats, etc.) and provide them with socialization. Volunteers may help with cleaning enclosures and feeding the animals. Training is provided. Apply to Volunteer for this position.

Cat Assistants

Cat lovers are needed to provide care for the cats during their stay at the CHS Pet Resource Center in Wilton. Duties include cleaning cages, feeding the cats, disinfecting floors in the cat rooms, restocking supplies and providing snuggles. Safety training is provided. Apply to Volunteer for this position.

Animal Enrichment Volunteers

Want to cheer up the animals during their stay? Volunteers are needed to provide mental stimulation for the pets at the CHS Pet Resource Center in Wilton. You’ll get to hand out lots of fun, tasty treats and perform activities such as spraying essential oil sprays and turning on the sound machines. Apply to Volunteer for this position.
