At seven years old, this orange-and-white domestic shorthair has mastered the art of being exactly where the people are. He lounges across keyboards. He follows the staff from room to room, awaiting his chariot rides. He likes to have company at mealtimes.

When he was found wandering a trailer park in New London County last June, his skin was raw and wounded. Dental disease made eating painful. Bad allergies left him itchy and uncomfortable. Since then, veterinary care, special diets, medication, and lots of love and patience have helped him heal, but there’s still more work to be done. A dermatology appointment is coming up to better pinpoint what’s causing his flare-ups and to figure out the next steps in his treatment plan. So what he truly needs now is a home to heal in!

Frito Crunch will need someone around constantly to monitor his licking and give him his daily medication. He will need consistency with his special diet and a calm space where he can Velcro himself to a human and stay there indefinitely. He also needs someone who understands that healing isn’t always linear — and that adoration this pure is worth the extra effort.

He already knows how to be loved. Now he needs to learn that love exists beyond these walls.
