It’s official! The Connecticut Humane Society’s new Pet Resource Center in Wilton is now open for adoptions, Tuesday through Saturday from 12:30–4:30 p.m. at 863 Danbury Road, Wilton.

This project began more than ten years ago with one goal: to create a space where pets and families in Fairfield County can find the care and support they need. Now, that goal is finally a reality.

The pet resource center was designed to serve the community in many ways. Families can now meet adoptable pets in bright, welcoming spaces. The new CHS Veterinary Clinic in Wilton offers low-fee care to keep pets healthy and in their homes, currently open by appointment only. To learn more or schedule an appointment, call CHS directly at 800-452-0114.

The center also includes dedicated areas for behavior support, staff training, and community programs that extend beyond the building—bringing education, resources, and outreach to pets across the region.

Opening this new location meant saying goodbye to the longtime Westport building, a place filled with years of memories. After careful planning, CHS made the decision to close Westport and invest in a larger, modern space designed for today’s programs and tomorrow’s needs.

Purchasing land in Wilton and building from the ground up made it possible to create a center that can grow with the community and continue to meet the needs of pets for generations to come.

The opening of the new pet resource center marks an exciting new chapter for CHS and for Fairfield County’s pets and families. You can be part of this story by making a gift to support the programs and services made possible through this incredible new community resource.
