Ginger story page

With an upset stomach and an upper respiratory infection all at once, this little orange kitty was not having a good time. Ginger had just arrived at the Connecticut Humane Society and was nearly ready for adoption when he started showing signs of digestive issues. Like the good boy he was, Ginger kept all his messes inside of his litterbox, but it was clear he was uncomfortable. During a closer inspection from the meticulous medical team at CHS, they also discovered that he had some nasal congestion as a result of an upper respiratory infection that was only just starting to materialize.

This 5-month-old-kitten was about to fight a couple of hard battles, but luckily for little Ginger, when things got a bit worse before they got better, he had the best team of medical experts and animal care staff by his side every step of the way. After a few days, the stomach issues were resolved, and after about a week, the kitty cold was almost completely taken care of. Ginger was back to eating on his own, and doing all the things kittens are meant to do: playing, purring in his new friends’ arms, and exploring everything that was new to him.

When Ginger was made available for adoption, he found a family right away, and quickly got to start the next great chapter of his life. All it took was getting Ginger on the right diet to get rid of the tummy ache, some antibiotics to kick out sniffles before it got any worse (both were a distant memory thanks to the incredible veterinary staff at CHS), and of course, the resilience of this little orange kitten!
